Sherman Housing Authority

Qualifications:

It is Sherman Housing Authority's policy to admit only qualified applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  1. A Family. A family is defined as a group of persons regularly living together, related by blood, marriage, adoption, guardianship or operation of law; or who are not so related by blood but have demonstrated a stable relationship in prior housing or an elderly, near-elderly, disabled, displaced or single person.
  2. A Family that meets the HUD requirements on citizenship or immigration status.
  3. An annual income at the time of admission that does not exceed the low income limits for occupancy established.
  4. A documented social security number for all family members or certifies that they do not have social security numbers.
  5. Meets or exceeds the Applicant Selection Criteria set forth in the Authority's occupancy policy

Local preferences will be granted to applicants who are otherwise eligible and can verify that they meet one of the preferences defined:
